Midseason additions for the Miami Heat that will be too good to pass up on: Terrence Ross

Similar to Danuel House, adding Terrence Ross to the squad would greatly improve Miami’s wing depth. As of now, the only true wings they have on the team are Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson.

Ross currently has two years left on his contract with the Magic. He will make $12.5 million this year and then $11.5 million the year after that.

Since the Magic are in rebuild mode, they will likely look to trade Ross at the deadline this year. However, that might be hard to do considering how much money he makes.

If it comes down to it, Orlando might simply choose to buy out the rest of Ross’ contract. This would make him an unrestricted free agent who would be eligible to sign with the Heat.

Ross could act as the Heat’s go-to sixth man and would be a huge boost to their bench unit. Alongside Tyler Herro, he would be a part of one of the league’s best scoring units off the bench.

During his time in Orlando, Ross earned the nickname “The Human Torch.” He may be a streaky shooter at times, but when he gets hot, he gets real hot.

This sort of scoring punch could be exactly what Miami needs. As of now, they don’t really have a ton of pure buckets on the roster, and Ross is exactly that.
