Miami Heat players that should be taking game-winning shots: #2 – Duncan Robinson

Duncan Robinson is a very different type of player than the rest of the people on this list. He is not a shot creator, but he is by far the best three-point shooter on the Miami Heat.

If the Heat are down by two with only a couple of seconds left, there is nobody on the team who should get the ball over Robinson. Spoelstra might have to run a play for him, but he should certainly be getting the ball.

The only reason Robinson isn’t number one on this list is that he should only get the ball if Miami is down by two. In any other situation, they should probably go to someone else.

So, if Miami is down by two at any point next year in the fleeting moments, expect Robinson to get the ball. If they need a three, look no further than Robinson.

Miami Heat players that should be taking game-winning shots: #1 – Jimmy Butler

As if anyone else was going to be number one on this list. If the Miami Heat need a game-winning bucket, the ball should absolutely be in Jimmy Butler’s hands.

Ever since he joined the Heat two years ago, Butler has been their fearless leader. He led them to the 2020 NBA Finals and was taking all of the big shots along the way.

He’s not the best shooter in the world, but when it comes to hitting clutch shots there aren’t many players that are better. He’s just such an amazing all-around player that it’s hard not to give him the ball.

If they need three points, maybe Robinson is the better choice. However, if the Miami Heat had to choose someone to take every buzzer-beater shot for them, it would easily be Butler.
