Re-drafting the 2020 NBA Draft: 5. Saddiq Bey, Cleveland Cavaliers

This may seem a bit crazy, considering how much potential Isaac Okoro showed on the defensive end last year. However, what Saddiq Bey brings to the table would be much more useful in Cleveland.

Bey is two years older but has already shown a ton of potential that he can be a great player in this league. Okoro showed potential, but it was almost exclusively on defense.

The Cavaliers were the worst three-point shooting team in the NBA last year. Having Bey on their roster would help with that immensely.

In addition, Bey could very well end up being a better player than Okoro, and right now, it looks like he will be. It’s a very small sample size, yes, but that’s how these re-drafts work.

Bey is also a couple of inches taller than Okoro, still a great defender, but he adds the ability to shoot. Surrounding Collin Sexton and Darius Garland with a shooter could have done wonders for Cleveland.
