Best trade the Miami Heat made with the Houston Rockets: Victor Oladipo

This trade may be the most recent one between the two teams, but it was also the best one the Heat made. Considering Victor Oladipo is still with the team, it was a huge win for Miami.

Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley were actually super productive during their time in Houston. However, neither stayed with the team past the end of last season.

The Miami Heat would have had to pay both of them in order to keep them around. Instead, they dealt them for a player who could potentially make a big-time impact.

Oladipo has yet to get healthy, but that allowed Miami to keep him around on a minimum deal this year. Due to that, they will now be able to go over the salary cap to keep him around next year.

He only managed to stay healthy for four games in Miami, but there could be big things to come for Oladipo. If he can get healthy for the end of this year, he could be a huge help in the playoffs.

Unless the 2022 first-round pick ends up being a star, this trade was a huge win for the Heat. They traded away two expiring deals in exchange for a former All-Star who they can now re-sign next offseason.
