Miami Heat team records that could be broken this season: Assists per game

This is another record that multiple Miami Heat players have a chance at breaking. They have two of the best playmakers on their current roster.

Both Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry are elite passers. Each of them is very capable of putting up a large number of assists in any given game.

Last year, Butler averaged 7.1 assists per game, leading the team in that category. In fact, he ranks eighth in Heat history for assists per game in a single season.

As for Lowry, he averaged 8.7 assists per game just a few seasons ago. That number would rank first in Miami Heat history.

Lowry will be playing with more weapons than he ever has this season. There’s a real chance he could inch close to double-digit assists this year.

Bam Adebayo is by far the best center he has ever played with. In addition, Duncan Robinson is by far the best shooter he has ever played with.

With these two by his side, he has a real shot at breaking the Miami Heat record for assists per game. The same can be said for Butler, too.

It will be tough for either to reach the mark since they are on the same team, but definitely not impossible. Keep an eye out to see if either get close to this mark this season.
