The Atlanta Hawks miss out on the player they originally selected by only one spot. Instead, they choose to go with Keldon Johnson, who takes a massive leap up the draft board in this re-draft.

Johnson has emerged as one of the better young players in the NBA. He even got the chance to play with Team USA this summer at the Olympics.

Over his first two years with the San Antonio Spurs, Johnson has played very well. He only played 17 games in his rookie season, but last year he really emerged as a core piece on that team.

He needs to improve a bit in regard to his three-point shooting, but the Spurs don’t shoot many threes, to begin with. In this re-draft, he would be a core piece off of Atlanta’s bench as a three/four.

Hawks fans may be upset about losing Cam Reddish, as he likely has a bit more potential, but Johnson is going to be a solid player for a long time in the NBA. Atlanta snags him tenth overall in this re-draft.
