Unfortunately for Golden State Warriors fans, they lose out on their original draft pick, Jordan Poole, in this re-draft.  Instead, they take big man Jaxson Hayes to provide them some depth.

Poole has been a huge part of Golden State’s success in the past two seasons. With both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both getting hurt, he has stepped up in the scoring department.

However, they are forced to go in a different direction in this re-draft. They choose to take Hayes who will end up providing them some great center minutes.

Hayes is a rim-running big who is extremely athletic. Next to a point guard as elite as Stephen Curry and Golden State’s elite spacing, Hayes would get a real chance to thrive.

While Poole would obviously be the best pick possible for the Warriors, he’s not available to them. Taking Hayes is simply a consolation prize, who could end up being great depth for them.
