Miami Heat Roundtable: How Far Will This Team Go This Season – Will’s Take
The Miami Heat are looking to put behind a terrible ending to their last season and come into this one looking for better results. With the new additions on the team they’ve improved at every position and have filled in the holes that haunted them last year.
Will’s Take (@crackseason)
So, with a championship caliber point guard added, along with a hungry Butler and Adebayo leading the way, how far does this team get? It could be easy to say Conference Finals, but there are some factors in the East that could impact seeding, such as the 76ers Simmons issue, Kyrie’s vaccine issue, and maybe Milwaukee looking to coast in preparation for the playoffs.
For now, let’s imagine the Heat are a third seed behind Brooklyn and Milwaukee and with no injuries to any team. I only see Milwaukee and Brooklyn as a threat to Miami, so I see the Heat winning their first round against whoever it may be and in five or six games.
Now, the match up in the second round would be Milwaukee and Miami. Given how the Bucks have kept their roster, have Miami’s number, and for as much as I want to take Miami, I have to give it to the Bucks.
Giannis is only getting better and the talent level on the roster is still there. I would say the Bucks win in six or seven games.
That is, personally, my opinion and who knows, when Miami’s full core finally steps on the floor they could be an absolute powerhouse that nobody can stop. Until I see that, I have to play the unbiased role and predict the Heat ending the season with a second round exit.
Official Prediction: Eastern Conference Semi-Finals
