Crazy Miami Heat stats that stick out: Team 3PT% (31.6%)

At the time this is being written, the Miami Heat rank 24th in the NBA in three-point percentage. They shoot a measly 31.6% from distance on the year.

Last season, one of the biggest knocks on Miami’s team was their lack of three-point shooting. Well, so far this year it seems as though nothing has changed.

Some of the players who were expected to lead the way in this regard are slumping from behind the arc. Hopefully, that will all change as the season goes on.

Miami needs to improve as a three-point shooting team if they want to improve their ceiling. This has to be one of the top points of emphasis.

Crazy Miami Heat stats that stick out: Kyle Lowry 3PT% (16.7%)

Kyle Lowry has played in only two of the three games this season, but he is shooting terribly from behind the arc. He has attempted 12 total threes and only made two of them.

This averages out to 16.7% on the season, which is absolutely horrendous. In fact, it is the lowest mark on the team of players who have attempted at least one three.

Coming into the year, Lowry was supposed to be a player that helped turn Miami’s three-point shooting woes around. While he can still definitely do that, he’s not off to the hottest of starts.

In reality, it’s only a matter of time before Lowry gets out of his shooting slump. Until then, though, this is definitely one of the craziest stats for the Miami Heat so far this season.
