Miami Heat: Jimmy Butler Has To Be More Focused And Intent Late In Games

So, how do we get Jimmy more active in the fourth? There are plenty of ways for Jimmy to get, either, to his mid-range shot or his close shot around the rim.

It comes from the pick and roll. The Lowry and Butler pick and roll is so underutilized, which is shocking to me because it’s so effective.

Jimmy rolling off the slip almost always provides the mismatch that he wants.

Having Jimmy abuse a smaller player on offense will lead to help defense, which can then allow Jimmy to make those passes that he wants to make.

Whether he makes it or not, Jimmy is still a threat and defenders are going to have to help. Even some handoffs that involve Butler could help.

Anything that can free up a drive to the rim would work. The Miami Heat are at their best when ball movement is involved and Lowry is finding players on the move.

Lowry and Butler aren’t the only ones who could do something more or different though. There is another guy to discuss here.
