Miami Heat: Steve Kerr Knows How Good Erik Spoelstra Is, That’s For Certain

Here is what Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, had to say about the Miami Heat’s long-tenured head coach. Via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, it says a ton that he chose to say this after his Warriors beat Miami on Monday.

"Steve Kerr after the game: “That was a testament to Heat culture. That was just straight Miami Heat basketball. They’ve been doing this for so long with Spo and Pat Riley over the last two decades. … That was one the best performances I’ve seen from an undermanned team.”"

Though the Heat were defeated, Kerr knows what he was up against. He knows that, solely, based on his own coaching perspective and from what Spo has actually had to work with across his career, including that game and this season.

Taking the Big 3 Era out of it, Spo has consistently overachieved when he wasn’t supposed to and completed the mission when he was. He’s a great coach, whether most want to admit it or not.

Steve Kerr knows that. They say that game recognizes game and that is certainly the case here.

Most importantly, the other guy that Kerr mentioned knows it. That would be The Godfather, Pat Riley.

And that’s really all that matters.
