Confidence Will Win Tyler Herro Hardware While He Helps Miami Heat Win Some
Now, he is not only righting the ship, but he is picking up where he left off during the Miami Heat’s Finals run. Herro is currently averaging just a shade under 21 points per game, a career-best by over five points.
He is hitting that mark in an expanded role, both in minutes (over 32 minutes per game) and total offense (over 17 shot attempts per game).
Despite more run and more looks, he is staying efficient.
He averages 43 percent from the field and a career-high 38 percent from three.
He is also getting to the line more, where he shoots 87 percent and closer to 88, at 87.5.
Not only is he growing as a scorer, but he is also taking advantage of all the depth on this Miami Heat squad. Herro is tossing four dimes each game on top of everything else, showing his chops as an evolving playmaker too.
Herro got here with on-court intellectual growth and off-court physical growth, the whole weight room storyline of the offseason. Most importantly though, it all shows up when you hit the film.
