Miami Heat: Kyle Lowry Makes It All Go As It Does
Again, Kyle Lowry is what you call a true floor general. Take this play for Victor Oladipo‘s first bucket of the year in their last game against the Houston Rockets.
Kyle Lowry had a shot, one that’s as open as open gets in the NBA. Instead, he took this opportunity to step into his shot hard as a fake to make the defender bite even harder on the shot action.
This would allow Victor Oladipo an even more open look, to which Dipo paid off for his first points in a while.
Not only is this just what a playmaker is trained to do, get the great look even if you have a good one, but it was some psychology to it all that a true floor general considers. This was an opportunity to help get his guy going, a guy that hadn’t seen anything go in a very long time.
What better way to build trust between two guys who have never played with each other, while also instilling confidence in a guy that could be a huge part of a title run for the team than to give up an opportunity to make a special one happen for him? There’s no better way.
Kyle Lowry knew and considered all of that, but he always seems to. He makes a lot happen for the Miami Heat and is the link that makes up for quite a bit of deficiency from time to time.
Plainly put, Kyle Lowry is the ultimate problem solver for the Miami Heat and it’s not that hard to see when he’s out there.
