Miami Heat: Young Hasn’t Been Defended Like This In A While … His Words

Looking back on Young’s numbers for the series, they don’t sound too bad until you consider a few other factors, such as the six turnovers he’s averaging per game in the series. This is also the guy they are counting on to lead them to the promised land, so he has to be better.

When you consider he has never averaged worse numbers across any regular season or his lone postseason run last season, it really makes you think about some things.

Considering that he was averaging 28.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 9.5 assists across 16 games and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks last season, two games in which he didn’t play, this is probably some of the best defense that’s ever been played on Young.

The Miami Heat will have to do it one more time though on Tuesday to put the Hawks team away for good. Heading back to Miami with a chance to hang out a while in wait of their next opponent, look for them to do just that.
