Miami Heat: Would Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Be Worth Chase If Available?

It’s worth a thought. Here are a few of them.

What could Miami give up to acquire Gilgeous-Alexander? For one, Tyler Herro would definitely be in the trade.

Duncan Robinson could possibly be an option there too, but you don’t know how interested they might be when you look at Robinson’s age. While he might be too far along for Oklahoma City, which isn’t a kidding matter when talking the Thunder, he could be a useful complementary piece to help keep things wide open for Giddey.

Kyle Lowry to Oklahoma City isn’t that crazy either.

The Thunder have had a track record of acquiring older stars for draft picks.

Does Chris Paul or Al Horford come to mind? If Paul can get traded, then Lowry certainly can.

You’re not advocating for it, as much, as being open to all the possibilities. When you look at Horford, who played for Oklahoma City last season before having a bounce-back year this year with the Boston Celtics, it actually helped revive him based on the facts when looking in from the outside.

The safe assumption, almost, is that by sitting out the whole second half of the season Horford was able to come out fresh this season.
