Miami Heat: One Key Improvement For Duncan Robinson Next Season

For Duncan Robinson, the goal or key improvement should be to gain more confidence in his abilities. Or, at least, gain back the confidence that led to him becoming a close to $100 million dollar man.

It’s really that simple.

Duncan Robinson is already one of the hardest-working players in the league. He has the motor to want to become better.

All he needs is a little more confidence, which seems to have taken a hit after last season. Defense is probably ten percent skill and ninety percent mentality.

Now, that “mentality” is part work and part belief, but all a mentality to be that or do that. When you look at some of the best and most tenacious defenders in the league, you notice how they believe they can guard anyone in the league.

Take Patrick Beverley for example. Yes, he is a pretty fast player and a gifted natural defender.

But it is his ability to get in the opponent’s heads and his belief that he can guard anyone that makes him arguably the best defensive guard in the NBA.
