Miami Heat: Their version of LeBron James was the absolute best one

First, let’s eliminate some choices. LeBron won two MVPs during his first run in Cleveland, but he did not win any championships during this time, which also happened to be the longest stretch of all versions.

James did win a championship with the Lakers and displayed his versatility by playing point guard and taking more three-point attempts, but the three other years with the Lakers have been largely disappointing.

Even though LeBron was still playing at an elite level, his team was not succeeding as well as it had in the past.

That is something worth considering.

It comes down to the Miami Heat LeBron and the return to Cleveland LeBron. First, let’s look at Cleveland.

Although LeBron won no MVPs during this stretch, he arguably should have. It was also arguably the most impressive display of basketball LeBron has ever put on in the playoffs.

His title with the Cavaliers in 2016 was his most impressive championship he has ever won, coming back from a 3-1 deficit against a 73-9 Warriors team with the reigning unanimous MVP in Stephen Curry.
