Miami Heat: A Look At Some Of The Summer Signees – Darius Days

Darius Days, another four-year college talent, signed to the Heat during Summer League. During his time at LSU, he developed and proved himself to be a very capable high-volume three-point shooter, connecting on 40 percent of his 4.5 attempts per game his junior year and 35 percent of his six attempts per game his senior year.

The 6’ 7” forward has been highly touted for his high motor and ability to provide an impact on both sides of the ball with his athleticism.

Unlike his teammate and first-round draft pick, Tari Eason, Days isn’t a lockdown defender but he should be able to hold his own at the NBA level.

Where he will truly excel is in his rebounding, as he grabbed nearly 8 boards a game with 25 percent of them being on the offensive glass. For a team that had some struggles in the regular season and postseason in the rebounding department, Days’ intensity and rebounding habits should allow him to see the floor during the season.

That’s especially with his skill set. That includes his ability to cut off the ball, receive good looks, and again, cash in on them.
