Miami Heat: Haywood Highsmith’s floor for 2022-23 season

Though again, Highsmith has a long way to go before he is close to P.J. Tucker, he is built of the same mold and with the Heat’s tutelage, could become that kind of player. That’s the beauty though, as even if he can’t quite reach that high, his floor still has massive potential.

Floor: High-Quality Role Guy, Defender, 3 &D Man

Regardless of what you want to refer to the role as, at worst, Highsmith is a guy that you can call into your lineup for 20 minutes or so a night and you know that you’ll get quality from him. Even if it’s just his defense, hustle stuff, and the ability to hit an open shot, that’s a high-quality role player for the Miami Heat.

Though you would rather him start to actually become a P.J. Tucker-Type this season, getting a good solid reserve player out of the deal this year on the cheap wouldn’t be the worst thing either.

Next. Duncan Robinson deserves chance to bounce back. dark

As far as Highsmith goes and as illustrated here, overall, you really can’t lose.
