Miami Heat: Lebron Teams Always Have A Shot, But Kevin Durant’s Warriors Had A Say

After the 2015-2016 season, winning a championship would become very difficult for the Miami Heat, even with James. Kevin Durant signed with the Golden State Warriors in the summer leading up to the 2016-2017 season, so Miami would have had to get through a championship team that just added a former MVP.

Dwyane Wade decided to leave the Heat for the Chicago Bulls. However, the combination of the Heat staying in title contention and LeBron James staying in Miami might’ve convinced Wade to stay.

The Heat would face one more issue regarding their Big 3 then too though.

Chris Bosh’s health became an issue at this time, eventually forcing him to retire.

Although Bosh was irreplaceable to the roster, the Miami Heat would their best. Luckily though, they struck gold, at the time, in Hassan Whiteside.

After being out of the league for two years, Whiteside made huge improvements to his game. While he was no Bosh, Whiteside was a good rebounder and paint protector.

With LeBron, Wade, and Whiteside, the Heat should have been good enough to make the NBA Finals two more years, making it eight straight Finals appearances. However, the Heat would be no match for the Warriors superteam.
