Miami Heat: Darius Days Has The Offense, But Can The Rest Translate?
He is a perfect mold for this league’s version of the power forward, standing 6’7 and more gangly than stocky. The Gainesville, Florida native also has the perfect game, with a mix of abilities that allows him to be extremely effective from all three levels of the floor on the offensive side.
Though you don’t know, exactly, the only question should be if he can hold his own defensively early on.
He is a decent athlete, at the very least, and seems to be as mobile in other facets of the game as he is offensively, so that should allow him to, at least, hotly compete on the defensive side of the ball.
What does it all mean though?
Well, until of if the Miami Heat bring in a surefire option to start or consume most of the power forward minutes in their lineup, then Darius Days should have a shot to get a massive opportunity early on in the season.
And if he can, somehow, translate his game from college and summer ball to the big leagues—the Miami Heat’s power forward problems aren’t as big as they might seem right now.
