Miami Heat: Monitoring Jazz but Duncan Robinson’s contract may be too big

When it comes to actually doing a deal with the Utah Jazz though, from a Miami Heat’s perspective, there is one thing that seems to be a massive hangup. That would be the, relatively, massive deal of Duncan Robinson, a guy many think would be on the move in any Miami Heat trade.

Here is what Troy Jones of The Athletic (subscription required) had to say on the issue. He did so on an appearance on The Drive With Spencer Checketts show.

"The Jazz were seeking one of Los Angeles’ first-round picks, but the asking price for that first-round pick was probably too much for what the Jazz are willing to pay. You know, Miami has been lurking. But in order to do a trade with Miami, the Jazz would probably have to take back Duncan Robinson. And that’s just a really really really bad contract cause there’s three years left on it… four years left on it actually. So that’s just a really tough contract for the Jazz to take back"

What does it all mean though?
