Miami Heat: Reign Over The Rock Will Be Most Important For A Guy Like Herro

With the fact that he was able to produce at a top 25 level, as a scorer, for most of the year last season off the bench, it really shouldn’t matter where he plays from. Now, as long as the compensation and recognition match that of a guy that is starter-level, for which his production says and validates, that’s all that matters.

He should be compensated and recognized as a player that would be a starter on about 90 percent of other teams, because he would be. He would likely be that on the Miami Heat’s roster as well, however, that’s not how they’re built to most effectively and efficiently operate right now.

For guys like Oladipo and Herro this season, the reign over the rock or actual possessions that they have with the ball in their hands, is the most important thing. Regardless of whether that’s with the first five, the second five, or the most realistic outlook, a perfect splicing of time with all groups and personnel by Coach Spo, the actual miniutes and minutes where they are the dominant ball guys are the most important thing.

And the fact that Tyler Herro may actually get that now is huge for what they can do in this upcoming season.
