Miami Heat: Omer Yurtseven’s Subliminal Bam Adebayo Observation

While either of the aforementioned former Miami Heat guys, Crowder or Olynyky, should be considered more wishful thinking than anything, at the moment, there is another option that is already on the roster.

With Bam Adebayo playing the center position for the majority of his pro career, his game, skill set, body, and athletic ability are built to be the perfect stretch four in today’s NBA. He’s as big as traditional power forwards and some centers but has the skill set and athletic ability of guards and wings.

He’s also a defense-first guy that can truly play around the rim or in the midrange on the offensive side of the ball, with the only real chink in his offensive armor being his three-point shooting ability.

Well, among the fact that he just doesn’t seek out his own offense enough, which may have something to do with the range shooting too, as he just hasn’t ever bothered to take many. Nonetheless, all of that makes him an ideal candidate to try at the power forward position.

And though some may be thinking “well, what will they do at the center position then?”, that’s exactly where all of this is headed.
