Miami Heat: Is Duncan Robinson More Valuable To This Team As A Trade Chip?

December is only a couple of months away though. The added addition of that time is that the rest of the league will realize they aren’t as good as they thought they were in October.

Thus, more trade partners should emerge.

Robinson makes just under $17 million this year. That feels like a lot but it really isn’t and most GMs are going to realize that just as soon as they recognize their need for shooting.

Plus, Robinson is under contract through the 2026 season, where he could be a bargain at that point, even at $19.88 million.

As has been mentioned many times, the East is a tough conference. The top contenders all got better and Miami needs to find a way to keep up.

Duncan Robinson getting his groove back gives the team a real trade asset. And it’ll be best for everyone if he’s moved.

Robinson handled it well but he made it clear that he didn’t like being benched. On a new team that needs his shooting, he’ll get the minutes he wants and Miami could hopefully get the contributor they need as well.

Next. Miami Heat can be a guiding light for Warriors in the face of adversity. dark

That’s why it’s time to cut ties.
