Miami Heat Rumors: Deal Would Be Amazing For NY, But Not So Much For Miami

Flat out, this would not be a good deal for Miami. Taking on Randle’s money when he doesn’t guarantee that you are much better than you are before dealing for him is too risky.

Yes, he can score but he is a defensive liability, regardless of the Heat’s ability to cover for him, while he has shown in the past to be a bit selfishly lackadaisical when the touches aren’t coming his way on offense. That isn’t Heat Culture, something you can’t expect that Zebra to change his spots on at this particular point in his career, and all while the potential reward doesn’t warrant the risk.

The Knicks’ side is almost threefold but definitely twofold. It would be an awesome deal for them, first and foremost, because they get off of Randle’s money, allowing them to focus on their preferred core.

Also, potentially taking back Robinson, Yurtseven, and Jovic gives them three really good pieces of talent to work with around said core, that all so happen to jive better with what they are building around RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson.

Plus, the third of the folds so to speak, is the fact that the overall value that the Miami Heat can still get out of those three pieces, combined, far outweighs the overall value that they can get out of Randle at this point.

Let New York get themselves out of this one.
