3 Miami Heat Targets Approaching NBA Trade Deadline – Looking Up North

Out of all players involved in trade rumors right now, O.G. Anunoby is the best player who could realistically be traded before the deadline.

The Toronto Raptors are out of playoff position this season. Even though they have a very talented roster and good leaders in their front office, things have not seemed to have clicked for this team. Meanwhile, they are dealing with a timeline issue due to the age difference between Pascal Siakam and the promising sophomore, Scottie Barnes.

Many teams are hoping that the Raptors start selling to begin a rebuild at the deadline. One of the best players they have to offer is O.G. Anunoby.

While he is not quite a star, he is a very valuable wing player who does just about everything you could ask for. For the Miami Heat, the most valued aspect would be his scoring, with a season average of just under 18 points per game.

The issue with trading for the Toronto wing is the bidding war that is going to commence. Miami will be competing with nearly every team in the league to acquire Anunoby.

With the Heat lacking draft assets, there are definitely several other teams who could make a better offer than Miami. The Raptors have plenty of leverage and will make sure the price is right for them if they consider shipping Anunoby.
