3 Miami Heat Targets Approaching NBA Trade Deadline – ‘Old Reliable’

This is a name that has been linked with the Heat for some time now, sort of an “old reliable” at this point.

John Collins

John Collins is another player that could be very useful for them at the right price. Although Caleb Martin is having a career-best year as the starting power forward this season, Miami could still use some more help at the position.

Dewayne Dedmon, along with many others on the roster, have already missed several games this year. They have been short of bigs.

Adding another one, simply, wouldn’t hurt. Collins’ numbers are down this year, but he has also been in and out of the lineup several times this season.

The Miami Heat would find a way to use his strengths and get the most out of him. They do that with nearly every player they get their hands on.

The Hawks have been rumored to part ways with Collins for the last several seasons as well, speaking about the continuous nature of the topic of his movement.

Perhaps, this will be the season a deal finally gets done.
