3 Miami Heat Targets Approaching NBA Trade Deadline – A Familiar Face

When it comes to one guy that actually hasn’t played a minute this season, he needs no introduction to the Miami Heat fan.

Jae Crowder

It is almost a guarantee that Jae Crowder gets traded this season. It is just a matter of where he gets traded to.

The Suns believe they have a championship-level roster when healthy. With Chris Paul nearing his 38th birthday this season, the Suns are running out of time to go all the way with this team.

Jae Crowder has not played a game for the Suns this season due to contract disagreements. The Suns cannot afford to have talent like Crowder sitting on their bench while their championship odds wither away.

They need to trade him. While he is the type of role player who would fit in with any championship contender, the Miami Heat have the benefit of knowing that Crowder could be a key contributor for them specifically.

He was a starter on the 2019-20 Miami Heat squad that reached the NBA Finals. The Heat could use an offensive boost as well.

The shooting that Crowder could provide would add another scoring piece to the team. If they can find a trade for Crowder without sacrificing their core, the Heat should make the trade for him.

And that likely stands for all of the aforementioned names though. Only time will tell, but the safe bet is on shakeups around the league, which should bode well for the Miami Heat.
