Adebayo ‘Should’ Be The Miami Heat’s All-Star, But That’s Not A Knock On Jimmy

Here’s why “should” was the choice there. It implies a certain level of “correctness” but only from a “what’s really important” standpoint.

Jimmy was deserving and was “snubbed”, however, you would rather him spend the week or so over the All-Star break off of his legs and doing nothing, helping him to possibly play more games in the remainder of the year.

As him being on the floor helping the Heat win ball games in the regular year into the postseason is what’s most important, right? Besides, he has six under his belt and will likely get another one or two more, at least, in his career.

Adebayo is only a two-time All-Star with this current selection counting as one and you love the continued confidence it should continue to help instill by having his aggression and hard work honored with the nod. That process should also be facilitated by being around the league’s top guys like that in the environment, as it has proven to further invigorate certain guys in the past.

At the end of the day, the Miami Heat, definitely, have two “All-Star caliber” guys in Adebayo and Butler, but for the reasons mentioned above, it’s totally fine how it turned out.
