Just ‘Average’ Miami Heat Range Shooting Could Take Them A Long Way

The Miami Heat are built off the back of their defense. And for as ugly as it can get at times, that’s effective for them and can especially be so in a playoff scenario.

With the way that the game slows down, every possession matters, and being able to get a stop when you need one the absolute most matters almost as much as being able to get a bucket when you need one the absolute most.

With the court and opportunities with the rock in your hand, as a team, shrinking in the playoffs, a guy that can get it done efficiently from the midrange to the basket is that much more effective. Yes, that’s basically, Jimmy Butler.

That’s not to mention that he becomes a top-five player once he gets into the playoffs, along with the Miami Heat’s aforementioned stellar defense. If they can put all of that together, along with their newly acquired depth, discipline, and some shooting—things could get very interesting.
