Try to move off of Kyle Lowry’s salary next season

The biggest offseason task for the Heat? Figure out what in the world to do with Kyle Lowry. He is currently taking up a massive portion of the salary cap and not producing enough to warrant the investment. This is not the player that made six straight All-Star teams with the Toronto Raptors.

Lowry has looked better since being moved to the bench. As a table-setter for the second unit, he still has value. Just not $20 million-plus per year value. His salary next season is expiring, making it potentially easier to move to a team trying to shed longterm money. Perhaps something over the offseason will materialize.

Somehow, the Heat need to add depth and players who fit around their core. Moving Lowry — and maybe other assets — could be a quick way to revamp the roster.
