5 Tyler Herro trades that would net Miami Heat another star: Karl-Anthony Towns

This fit may not jump off the page as an obvious one like the previous two trades, but the Minnesota Timberwolves could look to shake things up this summer, and the Miami Heat should be waiting by the phones if they do.

There may not be a better team to take on Karl-Anthony Towns than the Heat, as they have the perfect big-man partner to pair alongside him in Bam Adebayo.

The Timberwolves rolled out a two-big lineup this past season, but the lack of versatility was brutal. With Adebayo next to him, Towns wouldn’t have to worry about getting out on the perimeter as much.

And on the offensive end, Towns would be perfect. His floor spacing would leave the paint open for Adebayo, and he could take over as the team’s every-night scoring leader in the regular season.

Obviously, the history between Jimmy Butler and Towns may be too big of an obstacle for the Heat to overcome, but if there’s any organization that could get the two to look past their differences, it would be Miami.

As for Minnesota, they would be reshaping the roster around Anthony Edwards in this deal, adding another great perimeter shot creator to play alongside him.

Add in the potential depth of Victor Oladipo and the other young assets, and this is a nice package for Towns.

Potential starting lineups

Heat: Gabe Vincent (if re-signed), Max Strus (if re-signed), Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Karl-Anthony Towns

Timberwolves: Mike Conley, Tyler Herro, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Rudy Gobert
