4. Heat land OG Anunoby from Toronto
Anunoby is not a star, but 6’7 wings that can guard every player on the floor, handle the ball, and score 17 points per game are not easy to find. Pairing him with Jimmy Butler would give Miami one of the best wing duos in the league and allows the Heat to wreak havoc on defense.
The Raptors could be heading into a total rebuild of their own. Fred VanVleet, Jakob Poeltl, and Gary Trent Jr. are all heading into free agency. Can Toronto bring all three players back? If not, do the Raptors trade off pieces and head toward the bottom? OG Anunoby will certainly fetch a haul if he becomes available.
The Heat get a massive upgrade on the wing, but they would be facing the new second tax apron and its roster restrictions, especially if they re-signed Gabe Vincent and/or Max Strus this summer. Miami would need those depth pieces. A starting five of Butler, Bam Adebayo, Anunoby, Caleb Martin, and Tyler Herro is a contender, but the Heat would need a strong bench to be in the title mix.
If the Miami Heat are focused on acquiring a star, they would ask the Raptors for a different player.
