11. Jamario Moon

Moon went undrafted in 2001 after just one season in college, but he did not make it to the NBA until 2007. The 6’8 wing bounced all over the place from the G League to Mexico to the Harlem Globetrotters before finally getting a shot with the Raptors. Moon was already 27 years old and instantly jumped into the starting lineup.

The Heat traded Shawn Marion, Marcus Banks, and cash to Toronto for Moon, Jermaine O’Neal and two draft picks in 2009. The 6’8 wing quickly jumped into Miami’s starting lineup as he averaged 7.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game during the regular season. Moon suffered a sports hernia in Game 3 of the 2009 playoffs which ended his season.

The 6’8 forward signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the following offseason. He was a restricted free agent, but the Heat decided against matching his offer sheet. Moon played three more years in the NBA where he made a total of 22 starts.

Jamario Moon was a fringe NBA player who only survived in the league during his prime years. The 6’8 wing rarely started and never played more than 18 minutes per game after leaving Miami. The Heat overplayed him, which made his stay short.
