3 Under-the-radar buyout candidates the Miami Heat should target

These are the flashiest names, but these players could help.

2. Delon Wright

Delon Wright is a good on-ball defender who, if you remember back in the 2021 playoffs, gave Tyler Herro a hard time on the perimeter when the Heat played the Hawks in the first round.

Wright, who is listed at 6-foot-5, is long and does a good job pressuring opposing ball-handlers, which is something the Heat need.

Now Wright plays for the Wizards, who are obviously not making the playoffs. Buying out the veteran guard could make sense if they aren't able to trade him before the deadline.

In Miami, Wright could play short bursts of minutes in the playoffs, especially when the Heat are in need of backcourt defense. Wright getting bought out would make sense for both sides. If Miami were to move Kyle Lowry, then Wright would add some needed depth.
