5. More urgency from Jimmy Butler

Stephanie Meadows: It’s as if there are two versions of Butler: one who defers during the regular season and one who is determined to succeed in the playoffs. The loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night was a clear example of this. It was a moment when Miami needed Butler at his best, but ended up with a much weaker performance. Perhaps it was due to the illness that kept him out of practice on Tuesday, or maybe it was simply a result of his tendency to conserve energy throughout his Heat career.

Regardless, it was another situation where being good has not been enough. This recurring issue of a lack of urgency or impact from the Heat's star player is becoming a common theme.

On Feb. 23, Jimmy Butler shared a post on Instagram with the caption "It's Time." It’s time for him to show some urgency. Just a few weeks ago, the Heat seemed prepared for the final stretch toward the playoffs. They were in a promising position to secure the No. 4 seed. However, four consecutive losses have pushed them down to the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference, leaving them in a battle to avoid the play-in tournament. With only 17 games remaining in the regular season, this is the moment for the team to demonstrate their determination and ability to overcome adversity again. It starts with Jimmy.
