Regrading the trade
“Scary Terry” looks like he is just getting started, and for what the Heat gave up, this trade has looked like a massive win for the franchise.
He is under contract for two more years, and considering it only cost Lowry's expiring deal and a future first round pick, the trade looks like a slam dunk.
Not only is Rozier an ideal on-the-court fit, he has long admired the Heat's culture and the way the organization prioritizes winning. After 4 1/2 seasons toiling away for an uncompetitive Charlotte Hornets team, Rozier now has a chance to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2019 (when he was a member of the Boston Celtics).
If Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are to make another deep playoff run, Rozier will likely be a big part of it. The Heat made a major upgrade before the deadline, and it's helped fuel this final playoff push.
