The Miami Heat started off hot, but cooled down in the wake of a strong shooting performance and good defense by the Golden State Warriors.

Stats: 34 Min, 10-19 FG, 2-3 3FG, 4-5 FT, 9 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO, 26 PTS<p class=. C. Miami Heat. CHRIS BOSH. A

G. Miami Heat. MARIO CHALMERS. B. Stats: 37 Min, 4-17 FG, 2-6 3FG, 4-5 FT, 2 REB, 4 AST, 4 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO, 14 PTS
After scoring 13 points in the first quarter and setting Twitter on fire, Mario Chalmers scored just one point for the rest of the game. Is this what we get for believing in Chalmers? Or is it more to do with a good Warriors defense adjusting and locking him down. I’ll go with equal parts karma and Xs and Os.

Stats: 28 Min, 1-8 FG, 0-4 3FG, 2-2 FT, 2 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 4 PTS
In his first game back since dislocating his middle finger, Cole struggled with his shot possibly due to lingering effects from his injury.
. PG. Miami Heat. NORRIS COLE. D-

Miami Heat. LUOL DENG. B-. Stats: 32 Min, 6-11 FG, 2-3 3FG, 2-3 FT, 3 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 16 PTS
Coming off a 26-point performance against the Hornets Sunday, Luol Deng regressed to his typical 14-16 points per game. He was active on both ends of the court but had a tendency to disappear on offense. It would have been nice to see him get open and bail out his guards in the fourth quarter when the Heat went longer than seven minutes without a field goal.
. SF

SG. Miami Heat. JAMES ENNIS. B. Stats: 22 Min, 2-8 FG, 0-0 3FG, 4-5 FT, 8 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 0 TO, 8 PTS
James Ennis brought the energy tonight. The first guard off the bench, he disrupted a lot of what the Warriors were trying to do early on and was active on the boards. He also looked better handling the ball–something that was a concern in the preseason. Expect more playing time going forward without Shannon Brown.

C+. Stats: 13 Min, 2-6 FG, 0-0 3FG, 0-0 FT, 6 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 4 PTS
Haslem played well in short spurts and was mostly used to defend Andrew Bogut. However, it’s not a coincidence that the Heat had its worst stretch on offense when he was in for Bosh in the fourth quarter.
. PF. Miami Heat. UDONIS HASLEM

JOSH MCROBERTS. C. Stats: 21 Min, 1-2 FG, 0-0 3FG, 2-4 FT, 4 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 4 PTS
McRoberts almost blew the roof off of AAA when he went in for a dunk against Bogut, but Bogut committed a foul on the block attempt and McRoberts went to the free-throw line instead. That was the most aggressive version of McRoberts we saw all night. Otherwise, he was passive on offense.
. PF. Miami Heat

B. Stats: 26 Min, 3-6 FG, 1-2 3FG, 3-3 FT, 3 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 4 TO, 10 PTS
Napier did a decent job denying Stephen Curry the ball in the first quarter, but it’s impossible to contain him. He ended up going off for 40 points. Meanwhile, Napier scored in double-digits for the six-straight game. The Warriors did a great job trapping him and Chalmers in the fourth quarter, and that really disrupted what he could do. Teams have been playing up on the 6-foot-1 point guard lately, and that may be the scouting report on him.
. PG. Miami Heat. SHABAZZ NAPIER

B+. Stats: 27 Min, 4-8 FG, 3-5 3FG, 0-0 FT, 3 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 11 PTS
Williams hit his first 3-pointer of the game and was a consistent threat from beyond the arc. He also did a decent job defending the Warriors bigs, even when he was tasked with defending Bogut. It would have been nice to see Miami run more plays for him later in the game.
. F. Miami Heat. SHAWNE WILLIAMS

B. The Heat were able to compete against one of the top teams in the West without Dwyane Wade, and they did so with a strong first quarter in which they came out with a lot more intensity than Golden State. That’s coaching. Unfortunately, Spo wasn’t able to adjust to Golden State’s lock-down defense in the fourth quarter and it cost them the game.. HC. Miami Heat. ERIK SPOELSTRA
