1 Painfully obvious move Heat fans should be demanding after 10 games

It's time to make a move.

Even though 10 games are still an incredibly small sample size, Miami Heat fans should be demanding the team make a move for a superstar player. With the way the Heat has performed and looked so far this year, there's reason to believe that they're a ready-made situation for a superstar to come in and catapult the franchise to championship contention.

But it requires the front office to make a bold move at some point in the near future, one that they've shown no recent indication that they're ready to make.

During this past summer, the Heat passed on the opportunity to sell off a couple of their young players (and go all-in) in an attempt to land Kevin Durant, a legit superstar player. Sure, KD was a bit older than ideal, but the Heat have rarely passed on the chance at the star player.

That's also part of the reason why it was so odd that the Heat were so willing to part ways with Jimmy Butler. Sure, Jimmy was a headache at times, but when healthy and engaged, he was still considered a top 15, at worst, player in the league.

Are the Heat still all about the star power?

At this point, you can't help but question where the front office's priorities are at the moment. Would they still be willing to go all-in on a superstar player? Or will they continue to try and sell the fan base on a youth movement that, while it has shown some promise to start the season, has also left much to be desired?

Even though the Heat has looked better than expected to start the year, their best-case scenario for this season is far from championship contention. At best, they're a top 6 team in the Eastern Conference that will make life difficult for their first-round opponent. But, in the end, both the fans and the front office have to know this team is not talented enough to win a championship.

They have the depth it would take to make a run, but not entirely enough top-tier talent to be taken as a serious contender in the East.

That's why, even though the Heat have shown some promise this season, it's all meaningless unless they're willing to make the bold win-now move that everyone knows is necessary.

It's been a fun first 10 games for the Heat. The fan base finally has a product that they can watch without hesitation or shame, and there are some exciting players to get behind. But unless the Heat is prepared to make a bold move for a star player, the championship dream is nothing more than just that. A dream.

Ten games in, it's clear what the Heat need to do. They need to trade for a superstar, sooner rather than later.
