2. Kevin Durant

Durant is putting up Larry Bird-like stats… again. He is leading one of the best teams in the NBA and leading the league in scoring… again.

While Paul George has nudged himself through the door and into the house of elite small forwards, slamming the door in the face of Carmelo Anthony and others, Durant and LeBron are on the top floors while George is just entering the atrium (it’s a really fancy house).

Durant is out generation’s Bird. He can score from anywhere, he would likely be the first pick of any clutch shot pickup game and is leading a Thunder team that, as young as it is, has somehow eroded into Derek Fisher getting significant minutes.
