The Point Guards
6, 7. Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers
It depends on what a team is looking for. Do you want a three-point shooter or the next Patrick Beverley? Both are pretty valuable, but both of these guys can be so damn frustrating.
On a good day, either one of these guys on these contracts ($8.3 million, 2 years for Rio, $2 million with a qualifying offer next season for Cole) can be ranked over Deng. On a bad day, these guys could be about three spots lower.
8. Shabazz Napier
Napier doesn’t play a premium position, he’s undersized, his ball skills are unrefined and he projects as a streak shooter. So, yeah, not much going for the rookie. But he is a rookie, and that counts for something.
