5 Free Agents to “Replace” Dwyane Wade

If Dwyane Wade were to leave the Heat, the Heat would certainly have options to replace him via free agency. Some of the players would probably fit the new Heat system better and cost the Heat a lot less money.
But at the end of the day, Wade still has the intangibles of a champion and can play on a superstar level at certain times in the season. None of the other players on that list can do the same for the Heat, for any other franchise.
At this point, I still see Wade leaving the Heat as an extreme longshot. Both sides are playing chicken at this stage and will eventually come to a compromise to keep the man who helped make Heat basketball prominent in Miami for the long-term.
Both Wade and Riley know they need each other. It’s only a matter of time until they work out a deal that tells the world that.
