Bios: Wade (Marquette University, signed with the Heat in 2010 after opting-out.) Bosh (Georgia Tech, signed with Heat after leaving Toronto). James (St. Vincent St. Mary’s, signed with Heat after leaving Cleveland)

Miami Heat Statistics: Bosh (331 games played and started, 17.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg); James (294 games played and started, 26.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 6.7 apg); Wade (310 games played, 309 games started, 22.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 4.8 apg). Five All-Star appearances for Bosh, Four for James and Wade. James won two NBA MVP awards and two NBA Finals MVP awards. All three players also won two championships in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Why they’re here: It’s pretty self-explanatory. They are on top of this list because they changed the way free agency worked in 2010. Players suddenly became more eager to team up with their friends and other big names to increase their chances of winning. But truth be told, this trio turned out to be a very selfless band of brothers. That trait, along with their elite talents, land them at the top of the list.
