Three years ago, Miami signed center Josh Harrellson to an undisclosed deal. The big man previously played for the New York Knicks, after being drafted at No. 45 overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets.

On January 7, 2013 he was waived by the team, having averaged 1.7 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.2 blocks  per game, in 5.2 minutes of play.

Harrellson has just signed a non-guaranteed training camp contract with the Washington Wizards. He was not in the league last year, playing for Brujos de Guayama in Puerto Rico instead.
