Starting Five: Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Michael Dunleavy, Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah

Third place may not be where Bulls fans want to be, but realistically, the Bulls are past their primed. With Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose battling injuries and inconsistency, it’s just hard to rank this team any higher.

According to Nylon Calculus, Noah ranked 39 among all NBA centers in rim field goal percentage allowed (51.5 percent). Noah not being able to protect the rim is a huge blow to this team’s championship hopes.

Jimmy Butler randomly became an All-Star caliber, two-way player, but the decline of Noah and Rose outweighs Butler’s progress.

Also, how high can you rank a team that has Michael Dunleavy as their starting small forward?
