Josh McRoberts wants to play.

Last summer, Miami announced they had picked up McRoberts alongside Danny Granger, and collectively Heat Nation sighed. It was not so much about the players themselves, as it was that the organization needed to make stronger moves if they wanted to fill the void that LeBron James left behind.

The truth of the matter though is that nothing could, or would.

McRoberts got hurt anyways, and sat out the entire season, only adding salt to the wound. But this time around, he is here to leave a mark.

He is not after making a name for himself though. Or racking up statistics, night after night. He just wants to play. And help lead his team to victory.

Chris Bosh also echoed this sentiment, stating “Josh is such an unselfish guy. He’s like a big point guard.”

And if Sunday night offered any sort of glimpse into that, this upcoming season will be nothing short of productive for McRoberts.
