Miami Heat Regular Season: 4 Things to Watch For

3 of 5

2. The Return of Hassan Whiteside

Due to him sitting out for much of the preseason, there has not been too much talk about Hassan White recently. However, there should be.

Whiteside appeared out of nowhere during the second half of last season, sending chills down Heat Nation’s spine. Between his rim-game, his defensive presence and his sheer size on either end of the court, there truly is not another player like him out there. He has a different game than all of the rest of Miami’s big men, such as Chris Bosh and Chris Andersen, and you better believe that he will only get better with time.

South Beach should definitely expect a double-double out of him almost every night, and more than likely some more noteworthy sound bites a la, “I’m just trying to get my ‘NBA 2K’ rating up.”
