3. A Healthy Competition with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Last year, the vibes between the Heat and the Cavaliers were awkward, to put it politely. After LeBron James shocked the entirety of the league by announcing he was going back home, both the organization and the fans came down hard on him. And it did not stop there.

They also labeled Cleveland as their enemy.

However, as they say, time heals all wounds, and at this point it seems as though the team is excited to enter into a new kind of rivalry with the Cavaliers.

Wade, a longtime friend of James’, recently told ESPN, “LeBron knows we are coming for him.” But somehow the tone in his voice is different than last season…almost as though he is now looking forward to playing against him, rather than missing him as a teammate.

Do not get me wrong. The competition between these two teams will still be fierce. Words might be exchanged, both by players and fan bases. Matthew Dellavedova may try and take someone’s leg out. But it will no longer have the tone of Joakim Noah clapping in Bosh’s face…
