The Miami Heat throttled the Washington Wizards Sunday. That was fun. They play the Indiana Pacers tonight. Okay, on with the links.
We’re off to beat the Wizards: I just thought of that. I have to remember that for the next Heat-Wizards preview. Anyway, here’s the recap of the game. Chris Bosh scored 23, Goran Dragic ran the offense to near-perfection and Miami’s defense was straight-up mean to Washington.
Winsblock: Justise Winslow elevated for this fantastic block against the Wizards. Good to have him back.
D-League recall: Josh Richardson and Jarnell Stokes joined the Heat for the Wizards game. They’ll be going back-and-forth all year. Stokes was inactive for the game, but Richardson played toward the end in garbage time.
Got the D: Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel wrote a nice piece about how Miami’s defense came together to shut down the Wizards. Some great quotes here. Also a great stat: The Wizards shot just 9.1 percent in the second quarter. That’s not a typo.
